When you call about paint work, your car likely has fading clear coat, a noticeable scratch, or you want a color change. The finish is what everyone sees, and flaws stand out. You need the paint to match the rest of the vehicle and last for years, not peel or fade quickly.
We start by sanding the area to bare metal or primer, then apply a corrosion-resistant primer. After masking everything not being painted, we spray multiple coats of base color using a HVLP spray gun. Each coat is checked for coverage, then clear coat is applied for gloss and UV protection. The paint is baked or air-dried depending on the shop setup.
The size of the area, a single panel versus a full respray, changes the time and materials needed. Paint type matters: metallic, pearl, or tri-coat finishes require more layers and careful blending. The condition of the existing paint, including rust or previous repairs, adds prep work. Weather affects drying times if no bake booth is used.
On the day, we move your car into the spray booth and cover everything with masking paper and tape. After painting, we remove masking and inspect for dust or runs. You don't need to do anything beforehand except remove personal items. Afterward, avoid washing the car for at least two weeks to let the paint fully cure.
Tri-coat finishes use a base coat, a mid-coat with pearl, and a clear coat. Matching the mid-coat's opacity and flip requires spraying test panels and adjusting the gun's pressure.
Clear coat fails when UV exposure causes it to delaminate from the base color. This shows as white or chalky patches, and the only fix is sanding and respraying the clear.

We sand the area to remove old paint, rust, or clear coat, then apply a self-etching primer. All adjacent panels and trim are masked with tape and paper.
We scan the existing paint with a spectrophotometer, then mix the formula. A test panel is sprayed and compared under natural light to verify the match.
Using a gravity-feed HVLP gun, we apply thin, even coats of base color, letting each flash off. Then we spray two to three coats of clear for depth and protection.
After the paint cures, we wet-sand any orange peel or dust nibs, then buff the area to a gloss. The car is checked for color match, texture, and contamination.

We tape off every trim, seal, and badge so overspray doesn't land on rubber or glass. This prevents peeling edges and keeps the finish looking factory-clean.
We feather the new paint into the adjacent panel so there's no visible line. This is critical on metallics and pearls, where a hard edge would catch the light.
We let the paint harden fully before reassembly or buffing. Rushing cure leads to soft clear coat that scratches easily and loses gloss within months.
Dent RemovalParking lot dings, hail damage, and minor dents don't have to mean a trip to the body shop for a full repaint. Our paintless dent repair (PDR) technique massages the metal back into shape from behind the panel. It's faster, more affordable, and preserves your original paint.View details
