Dent Removal in Bastrop, TX. Free, no-pressure estimates.
You notice a dent in your car door after a shopping cart incident or a parking lot bump. It’s frustrating because the paint is still intact, but the metal is pushed in. You call us because you want the body restored without a full repaint or a huge repair bill. We assess the damage and decide the best way to return the panel to its original shape.
For shallow dents with undamaged paint, we use paintless dent repair (PDR). We insert specialized metal rods behind the panel and gently massage the metal back into contour using leverage and pressure. A bright light helps us see the high and low spots. For deeper dents or creased metal, we sand the area, apply body filler, shape it, then prime and repaint the panel to match the factory finish.
The difficulty of a dent removal job depends on the dent’s location, size, and depth. Dents on sharp body lines or near panel edges are harder to access. Aluminum panels require different tools and more care than steel. Temperature affects how the metal moves—cold metal is less flexible. These factors increase the time and cost, but we always explain why before starting work.
On the day of service, we park your car in our shop and protect the surrounding areas with masking tape and covers. After the repair, we clean the work area and remove any dust or debris. You don’t need to do anything beforehand—just bring the car in. Afterward, we recommend waiting a few hours before washing if paintwork was done, but PDR requires no special care.
We use curved metal rods to access the back of the panel and apply controlled pressure, pushing the dent out without damaging the paint.
For creased or deep dents, we apply polyester filler, sand it smooth, then blend new paint into the surrounding panel to hide the repair.
We examine the dent’s depth, location, and paint condition to decide whether PDR or traditional body filler and paint is the right approach.
For PDR, we remove interior trim or access panels to reach the back of the dent, then use rods to push the metal back into shape.
If the dent is too deep for PDR, we apply body filler, let it cure, then sand it flush with the original panel contour using progressively finer grits.
We mask the area, apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat, then blend the paint into the surrounding panel for a seamless finish.
Paintless dent repair keeps your original finish intact, avoiding the color mismatch and overspray that can happen with repainting. The metal is restored, not covered.
Most PDR jobs are done in hours, not days. You avoid the downtime of filler, primer, and paint curing, getting your car back on the road sooner.
We assess each dent individually and only recommend the method that fits. We don’t push repainting if PDR will work, saving you time and material cost.
